Question: Do you write as a hobby for your own enjoyment?

I’ve written over 30 novels, without the intention of being published, but as a hobby and for enjoyment.

Answer: Definately not! I have been writing for as long as I can remember, and I would not be who I am now if I didn’t! When plots, phrases, or ideas start swirling through my head it really helps to put them down, or to have a book you are working on that you can sit down and enjoy working on. Frankly I don’t see how people can NOT write, it is so beneficial all-around. Keep going! Have fun!

Our Place in Space

Look at earth both as our home planet and its place in our solar system and beyond. Take a journey to all our neighboring planets from Mercury to Pluto. Learn how stars are born and discover what happens when galaxies collide. Our Place in Space is also home to Science on a Sphere, which is a large visualization system that uses computers and video projectors to display animated data onto the outside of a sphere.

Your Body

Your Body exhibit explores a day in the life of the body, with an emphasis on the sounds, smells, sights, and sensations of everyday life. Stand inside the heart and lungs and feel the rhythmic beats and breaths from your head to your toes.

Groundbreaking video technology follows a cherry tomato as it travels from the mouth to the stomach to illustrate the remarkable transformation from food to fuel.

This exhibit will help you understand what happens inside your body and you can connect your daily activities to your health, while having fun doing it.

Body, Space and Terralink

The link galleries are designed to keep up with the rapid flow of news and events in the world of science. They use state of the art technology and high tech multimedia to keep visitors connected to the latest developments.

BodyLink: Is a high tech environment accompanied by high touch experiences. You can test your nutrition I.Q., or monitor your body’s pulse and heart rate as you pedal a stationary bike. Watch video clips of the latest news from the world of healthcare and health science. Decode mysteries of DNA in the WetLab.

BodyLink is a media center, discovery room, and newsroom. BodyLink brings you the latest and greatest in Health Science and Healthcare. It is equipped with Internet-ready computers, media players, and satellite television and srruound-sound audio systems.
The most important resource in BodyLink is the knowledgeable, trained staffs of health science educators and community volunteers who serve as exhibit facilitators. The staff is present to share their excitement for Health science and to engage visitors in interesting dialogue.

SpaceLink: Is a high tech environment accompanied by high touch experiences. Construct a planetary rover. Try on a flight suit. Track the orbits of satellites. SpaceLink is part media center, part discovery room, and part newsroom that brings you the latest and greatest in Space and Aerospace Science. Question: What should I write in my application to sixth form? (help!!)?

This is what it says: ‘Please use this section to tell us more about yourself, e g. hobbies, interests, part‐time jobs, work experience, special responsibilities, clubs or other activities, sports, music, etc. You may want to tell us about your interest and passion in the subjects you wish to study at AS level and why you want to join Pate’s Sixth Form.’

Answer: Hey there.

If you want an honest opinion, I would say that 6th Forms aren’t really bothered about the extra curricular things that you students do.

They only put that in the app form so they make it interesting, and not boring to fill up. I tell no lie.

The only thing they want to see is that if your GCSE grades are sufficiently good: i.e. A*-C in all subjects.

It might be good if you added your suggestion about novel writing, but I highly doubt that they will give a damn.
I don’t want to hurt your feelings, but it is kind of true.

6th Form is all about you getting those A grades that you need for uni.
They don’t want aspiring teenage authors, spewing on and on about how they love to write and how they wish to become a best selling author one day, where after they will make a considerable amount of money and enjoy an early retirement.
Once again, I don’t mean to offend. I am merely expressing my opinion to you, even if it does sound a little blunt.

Here is my advice. If your GCSE grades are astoundingly amazing, meaning all A’s and A*’s, then you shan’t need bother about the “hobbies, interests, part‐time jobs,… ” lark.
However, if you do manage to scrape all C’s, then I’d suggest mentioning EVERYTHING special you have to offer as a student to the college.

Why Hobby Is Important

Question: Why do people think that we need to spend money in order to save the environment?

As I see it, its more important what we DON’T do than what we do do. We need to do less not more. (ie – nature doesn’t really need our help, all we have to do is stop destroying it)

Answer: AGREE, agree, agree, agree. 100% agreement from me. Yes, stay out of the natural Eco system. Be as self sustaining as possible on your own homestead/suburban garden as you can with fuel, food, growing your own timber for building, dealing with your own wastes, then leave the natural eco system/nature/wilderness alone. If we concentrate on living on least land possible, whilst producing high yields, then we limit the damage we do from overconsumption of resources, exploitation of others and the environment.

Why do we need so much stuff? Why do we need to do things that negatively impact on the environment all the time? In my opinion, we in the developed world believe we have a right to have anything we desire, regardless of cost to others or the environment.
