This is the first time I send you an email so I am going to explain you somethings about me, my hobbies and tastes.

Well, the first thing, my name is Nerea, I am 25 years old and I live in Spain, i live in a little/small seaside village, it have around 12000 residents, it is very quiet, but a lot of tourists come in summer to our beaches.

We live well here, but I prefer the city, I think there are more things to do.

At present I live with my parents and my big brother, though I was living out of home for 3 years, while I was studying business studies. I have just finished and I got too much free time. This is the reason I started to study English because I forgot it, and I wanted to bring up it to date.

Question: Is volunteer work really ‘work’?

A man is sueing me after I was involved in a car accident with him, he is sueing me on some inability to work or something, only the thing is he is only a volunteer, its not like he needs it to pay the bills or anything.

So I was driving home after a long night out, we were all still pretty pumped from the nights activities. It was early in the morning, around 8am, driving down a quiet suburban street, when this maniac stepped out in front of us with a stop sign, he was all dressed in bright colors, yellow and orange.

Needless to say he scared the hell out of us, I tried to go around him but there was another one on the other side too, we ended up skidding into him, he was pretty slow on his feet, they should really have younger people doing it.

Turns out he was a crossing guard for a school, I didnt even realise it was a school day! They should give you more notice before they step out in front of you like that.

Is volunteer work actual work? or a passtime?

Answer: It’s only work in the sense of when you do it, it makes you tired just like work does. But he can’t sue you and get money for missing work, because volunteer’s aren’t paid. Maybe you should try to sue him for causing damage to your car by just stepping out like that. Everyone knows you don’t just walk out in front of cars.

Question: Hi I have a question about San fransisco California?

I have never been to sanfransisco and I would like to visit inthe summer but I wanna know what I can do whil I’m there preferably places in Oakland around the bay area.

I wanna know good like museums,restaurants,cool places,the hobby shops

any suggestions of what to do there?

Answer: Summer in San Francisco, believe it or not, is usually cold and foggy so don’t show up wearing shorts and tank tops! There are literally HUNDREDS of things to do in SF and around the Bay Area – too many to list here. The standard “touristy” things would be Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39, Lombard Street, Coit Tower, Golden Gate Bridge, etc. etc. etc. Go to Golden Gate Park and see the new (and awesome) Academy of Sciences & Japanese tea garden, head west a couple of miles to the zoo and beach, go across the Bay Bridge and see Oakland – Jack London Square, Childrens Fairy Land, the Oakland Zoo; go South and visit Silicon Valley and San Jose, Santa Cruz – the Beach Boardwalk is fun; head north about an hour or so and go to the wine country. You can easily fill 2 weeks time here depending on how much spending money you have! Almost everything mentioned has some sort of fee involved – if not admission, then parking or bridge tolls.
