Anyone who is a germophobe or a compulsive cleaner will want to clean all day and all night. They cannot stand seeing dirt or dirty anything. They are obsessed with cleanliness and defeating bacteria. If this is you, then cleaning may be more than a hobby for you. You might want to cut down on cleaning, just a little.

What to watch out for when cleaning as a hobby

You need to think about your physical health as well as mental health when cleaning. It is not good to clean all day, exposing yourself to harsh chemicals that may be harmful to your body and health. It is also not healthy mentally to be so disturbed when seeing dust or a messy room that you feel the need to have to get out your cleaning supplies.

How to clean as a hobby?

In order to clean as a hobby, you need to find a balance. You can clean whenever you want especially if it makes you happy but you cannot overdo it. Like drugs, even when cleaning makes you feel good, you cannot do too much of it and still be healthy. There are other things in life than just your hobby. So, figure out how much cleaning is healthy for you and do that much. You may also want to experiement with green detergent and green cleaning supplies or homemade cleaning supplies to make your cleaning more fun, better for the environment and healthier for you.
