Looking for that perfect gift for the lady in your life? If you are out of ideas and can’t think of anything to buy, this article will help you find something just for her.

Fortunately, women have the reputation of being easier to shop for than men. Jewelry is always welcome. You can find unique presents at an antique shop, and vintage jewelry is extremely fashionable. Consider buying her an Italian charm bracelet, the newest fad in jewelry. Italian charm bracelets do not resemble the dangling charm bracelets popular in the 1950s and 60s. These sleek bracelets are covered by snap-on segments which can feature a wide variety of patterns and designs. Some are studded with gems, others are covered by miniature enamel paintings, and they come in all metals from stainless steel to 18K gold to fit all budgets.

For serious relationships, diamonds are always appropriate, and a small set of 1/4 carat earrings only costs a few hundred dollars, while its sparkle will accent any outfit. If you don’t know how to judge the quality of diamonds (there are short online courses for beginners) stick to a reputable local jeweler so you will be sure to get a high-quality item. Not all diamonds are created equal, as some are grey or yellow and included with particles that detract from their appearance and value. Learn about the four C’s before buying diamonds to make sure you get a good bargain.

Online auction sites are good places to pick up jewelry and other gifts. Ebay is the most popular venue, but there are smaller sites as well where you can pick up a bargain.

If the lady you are buying for has a hobby or a collection, try to find something that adds to it. For instance, a doll collector would love to have a limited-edition Barbie. Birdwatchers will enjoy a full-day outing, and perhaps a picnic, near a bird sanctuary. Scrapbook owners can always use small mementos or photos of special occasions. If your lady likes books, find a signed or limited edition.

Many women appreciate art, so look for an original piece that suits her decor. She will think of you whenever she sees it.

If you know her size and taste, buy her some attractive article of clothing. It doesn’t have to be something as intimate as lingerie, as long as you avoid completely utilitarian items such as socks (that vile old Christmas standard). Try a handknit sweater or some soft lined gloves for cold winter days.

And don’t forget the other love of her life — her pet. People who own pets consider them part of the family, and always appreciate gifts for them. Try a personalized or rhinestone-studded collar for the dog, or some gourmet cat food for her feline. Dog grooming certificates make a great gift and save time spent on cleaning, brushing, and clipping the nails of pets. If there is a cat or dog show in town, get some tickets for both of you.

If you can cook, make her a romantic dinner complete with wine and candles. Everyone loves to be spoiled and waited on. Baskets of luxury foods and snacks are gifts suitable for everyone.

Last but not least, don’t forget flowers! A dozen roses are always romantic, and a tropical bouquet will brighten her home for days. Or buy an attractive potted plant, which lasts longer.

Whatever you do, make sure your gift shows some thought and consideration of her tastes. If possible, don’t buy a generic gift suitable for anyone. After all, it’s the thought that counts, and you want to demonstrate that you feel she is special and worth some extra effort.

Question: I need help in stretching my letter in Eng 102 into 1 1/2 page. This is only one page.?

My name is Rebecca Allen. I am born into Near the Water and born for the Mexican People. My maternal grandfathers are Red Running Into the Water People and my paternal grandfathers are Coyote Pass. I reside in Tsaile, Arizona, where I have lived all my life with my family. My hobbies are rug weaving, sewing clothes, and playing piano. I am 21 years old and am currently going to school at Dine College.

First of all, I am writing this letter to request for a scholarship fund consituated for college students. I need help in paying for my tuition. Whatever amound the capter house helps me with will be fine. The money you give to me will be for my tuition and some of my school supplies. It will help me in getting closer to paying my whole tuition which is one- thousand and five-hundred dollars.

Secondly, this is my second semester at Dine College and I am going to college to earn my degree in Liberal Arts.

The other half is writen on another question page.

Answer: My first suggestion is to use the spell checker and grammar checker tools in a word-processing application.

In order to expand this essay, include more details – but only details that are relevant to the subject of this essay. Is the purpose of the essay to describe yourself, or to request money? That’s not clear from what you have written so far. State the main purpose in the first paragraph.

Give some explanation and details about what you will do with the money, and why you need it in the first place. I don’t mean stating just that the money will go toward tuition and supplies, but how will these contributions help you achieve your goals? I assume your goals go beyond just attending college. Do you want a Liberal Arts degree so that you’ll have a well-rounded education so as to better understand the human condition? What do you want to do with your education?

If the point of this essay is to tell us about yourself, tell us more about your home and your family. You mention your tribal affiliations, but as a non-Native American, I have no frame of reference. Describe more of the culture. Basically, clean up your spelling and grammar, clarify your points, and provide details.

Good luck! I admire you for pursuing a college education and wish you all the success in the world!

Question: I am looking for a product to use on dried tree branches. ?

If you do crafts you have seen the “picks” that you buy at stores like “hobby lobby” that look like they have “ice” on them. You pay an outrageous price for these to make wreaths and other crafts. Does anyone know of a product that would give this effect? Thanks for anyone who has an answer.

Answer: My teacher used to use lux soap flakes (white) and white glue mixed with glitter mixed into a paste and then coated onto branches, used to look really great. If you can’t get the lux flakes grate some from a bar of white soap Thanks you just reminded me of it will give it a go myself.

Question: Should i get intel dual core for video editing?

I’m looking at the acer aspire m1610 desktop w/ the ff. specs.
>Processor Pentium Dual Core E2200 (2.2G 1M 800FSB)
>Chipset SIS® 672 Express chipset with SIS® 968
>Memory 1 x 1GB DDR2 667MHz
>Video Type: Integrated SIS® Mirage™ 3+ graphics
>Hard Disk 160GB HDD SATAII 7200rpm

I would just be using video editing as a hobby, not for professional use. Should i be concerned that dual cores might become obsolete soon, esp with quad cores now coming out?

Is it a good idea to still get dual cores?
If yes, what specs do i need to upgrade based on the above?
If no, what specs would you recommend?

Thanks for your help.

Answer: I would build your own system so as to get the best setup possible.

Couple of things strike me right away.

Unless you’re overclocking, which isn’t advisable for video stuff, the E2200 is a slow dual core, and for video editing, you might as well just start off with a Quad. Dual cores are still okay, but Quads are better especially for editting type apps, encodig, etc. You can bet duals will be as dead as singles are within a few years though…

Chipset is an SIS: there are really only 3 brands of Chipset you would want: AMD, Intel, or nVidia (probably not the nVidia, but it is a main brand). The SIS may lose support for upcoming CPU’s if it even has it at all.

The graphics on the SIS are integrated, therefore they are weak, which is not good for video editting. You don’t need a gaming card but you should have a decent card. ATi would probably be the prefered brand as they have AVIVO (Audio Video In, Video Out), are more friendly for capture, and are know to have better video quality (though my best looking card to date has been a nVidia Quadro, but they are very expensive).

Not enough RAM for even gaming on XP, let alone Ram intensive Apps on XP or Vista, get 4gb. 667 is also slow, and since it’s one stick, you don’t get to dual channel and double your bandwidth.

160gb, you need far more for processing raw video.

Also to the guy so says Mac is GGTTW, Adobe Premier is an excellent Video Editing program for the PC, and After Effects is the standard effects program for video editting. Mac is always overpriced too. As for more stable, XP is extremely stable… Only crashed while I was @ 100% CPU usage overclocking on an AVI encode.

My suggested build:

Motherboard: $90
AMD Socket AM2+ 780G by Gigabyte, known to be a nice stable board with good features from a good brand, new chipset:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128090

CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9550 Quad Core CPU: $195

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103251

Best vallue quad when not overclocking

Memory: 4gb DDR2-1066 Performance Dual Channel: $100

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227289

Hard Drives: RAIDed Westen Digital 750GB SATAII 7200rpm drivers= 1400gb or 1.4TB: $240
2x http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136150

Video: Sapphire HD 3650 512mb GDDR3, good, very new, cool

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102725

Antec Steel Case w/ 500W Antec PSU: $100
Good PSU in a good case for a good deal:
good:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129024

Lastly, Windows XP: $80

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116056

So for $200+90+100+70+240+80+100=$700+150 misc anoying stuff, so $850, you got a kickin Quad Core editing Rig. Buy from a manifacturer, you’ll prolly pay 1k for a system like that, but based on a slightly faster Intel Q6600, with 1/7 the HDD space, 1/2 the ram, inferior case and power, and slow slow windows vista loaded with bloatware.

Building computers just takes care, nothing too hard. 30 minutes on an E-guide and 3-5hours to complete the build.
