Job Hunting
Believe it or not, in this economy, there are people who are job hunting as a hobby. There are so many employers laying off people all over the nation and it is hard for someone who still has a job to feel secured. One day you might have a good paying job and the next it could be taken away from you. This is why many people are looking around for opportunities to keep their options open. If nothing happens in their current job to make them have to change then, great, they do not need to take any actions. However, there may be times when things are not looking so good and they will need to find other job opportunities.
For people who have jobs, job hunting can be done on the side, in the evening, or over the weekend. You can look to see what opportunities are out there. It can be fun and good to know what are out there.
How to hunt for a job?
Job hunting can be done at home, on your computer. You can find opening positions online and then email your resume as well as a cover letter to the hiring company. Alternatively, you can reply to ads in newspapers. Many employers have ads in local papers advertising for local positions. Some people just look around for “help wanted” ads wherever they go. If you see a “help wanted” sign posted anywhere, you can often go in and ask for an application for employment or for more information.

Answer: The 1920s was a time of much bigger families. By age 30, and 36, they would have had lots of kids. Even city slickers had bigger families. If you are going with an urban family, add two more. Rural family you should add at least four more.
As for activities… Urban
Father would be working at a plant or whatever, and for activities most likely going to jazz clubs, horse races. Things were good for most of the decade until 1929, where the stock market crash occurred. Wife would be joining the husband on outings to the club at the very least. Back then I would guess the women were socializing, and tending to the house while the husband was at work. The kids would have had a nanny, or be in school.
As for family outings, I would say going to a personal cottage, out to the beach, going to a carnival, or simply going for a drive. Things were good for America back then. Lots of money, so lots could be done. It was a time of profit.
Rural life meant farming. So more kids were needed, as well as hired hands. The wife would be cooking for the family and any others on the farm. The girls would be helping out in the house, and the boys would be out helping with the farming when not in school.
When they did take some time away from the farm, I would imagine trips to the city, carnivals, and going for a drive.
Other possiblities for activities are motion pictures, and fishing.
I hope this helps.
