There are hundreds of different types of card games: everything from poker, to black jack, to go fish, to solitaire.

Many card games have been created for the purpose of gambling, but there are also many card games that young children and families enjoy playing together.

A deck of cards explained

The typical card game involves using a deck of cards. A deck of cards is fifty two cards with four different suits. The four different suits are diamonds, hearts, spades, and clubs. There are thirteen cards in each suit.

A suit is made up on cards numbered two through ten and then there are face cards.

The four face cards are a King, Queen, Jack, and an Ace. These cards are usually worth the most in the average card game.

Card games are great, they help bring people together and are a great social event for families who are looking for something to bring them together. Groups of friends, too, like to get together to either play cards for fun or to play cards for the purpose of gambling.
