You are not recognizing the importance of teh Ballroom Dancing Competitions. It is first and foremost a competitive sport in this day and age, not just a hobby!

Most people don’t think of ballroom dancing as a sport but you do need to be fit and be in shape as well as have strong muscles to do ballroom dancing.

Ballroom dancing has also been popular for a long time in the ballrooms all over Europe and beyond . Although it is no longer an essential accomplishment of all young men and women, ballroom dancing is a hobby for both men and women.

Ballroom dancing used to be very popular in the 1960’s . Nowadays, not only ballroom dancing can be fun and a great way to exercise, it is also a social activity where you can meet others of the same interest.

There are many different dances the fall within the category of ballroom dancing some more difficult to learn than others, but even an easy to learn basic dance such as the waltz is a wonder to watch when performed by a professional . Ballroom dancing is a good , fun way of keeping fit, which in our over weight society can only be a good thing.

If you are thinking of taking up ballroom dancing, you can take lessons or classes. Most cities will have evening classes or weekend classes for different levels of ballroom dancing.
