Question: Western or english, preference? fun or competitive?
Just curious….how many people here ride just western? seems to me like the majority of people on here are english riders. So do you ride wester, english, or both? which do you prefer if it is both?
Also how many people here ride as a hobby and just because they love to? Like ride out on trails, play games, and ride anywhere just to pass the time. Who here rides as a sport, competitively, and pretty much very rarely goes out to ride just to ride? which means no riding circles in arenas and practicing jumps etc… seems to me a majority of the people here are the latter.
Answer: I ride Western, just because it fits me better.
I don’t like English much because I don’t like the saddles and I don’t like to wear anything that has to do with English, I actually think English is down right stupid! (no offense to the people that ride English, it’s just my opinion).
But I ride because I love too and its fun!
I barrel race, pole bend, and in 4-h and do Gymkhana (which is the same as barrel racing) and western pleasure.
