Question: What do I need to begin wood carving?
Well, not carving, but having a flat piece of wood and carving into it to create a scene, with certain features carved inward and some standing out.
I currently use a wedge from our garage, on plywood, but it’s unbelievably hard. My parents suggested that I get REAL woodcarving tools.
How much are they, what do I need, and where should I buy them? (Not professional stores… but places like Hobby Lobby, Walmart, etc.)
Answer: Wood and something sharp.
Really, try a hunk of basswood and pocketknife.
