Snowboarding is a hobby much like Skiing that is mostly for young people who can handle the dynamic nature of snowboarding.

Snowboarding is done during the winter season or around snow with a very smooth board. The person who is snowboarding straps their feet into a wide and long board and goes down a large, snow-covered hill. Different gear is required for this hobby than skiing.

Usually a person will wear snow gear to counteract the cold and special shoes that snap into a snowboard. To avoid getting snow in their eyes, many people will also wear goggles. People enjoy going up snow banks and doing other tricks that are similar to tricks done on skateboards.

Typically, all snowboarding is done in mountain resorts or wherever fresh powder can be found on a hill.
